Do I have to be Catholic to work at Catholic Charities?

No. Catholic Charities prides itself in the diversity of our workforce and provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals, regardless of religion, race, gender, age, national origin, veteran or disability status.

 

What is the best way to apply for a job with Catholic Charities?

Because we are a network of individual agencies, based on geography and service line, it is best to follow the instructions in each individual job posting.

 

Will I automatically be contacted when I submit my application or resume?

No. Due to the volume we receive, we are unable to contact every individual who submits an application or resume. You will be contacted if there is a current opportunity that we would like to discuss further.

 

What happens to my application or resume if I am not hired?

All resumes and applications are kept on file for one year for future consideration.  However, if you see a job posting in the future with a different Catholic Charities agency, you must apply directly for that position.

 

What type of pre-employment screenings does Catholic Charities perform?

All conditional hires are subject to criminal background, national and state sex offender registry, and sanction screen checks.  Depending upon the position and regulatory requirements, some positions require additional screenings including, fingerprinted criminal background checks, Staff Exclusion List, Child Abuse Registry, PPD (TB test), and health assessment screenings.  You will be informed of these requirements if and when a conditional offer of employment is made.

If you are required to drive for business purposes, a motor vehicle driver abstract will be performed.  If you are required to drive your own vehicle, you may need to provide proof of current valid registration and insurance.
