Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT) Program

Reducing stigma and promoting mental health through education and training.

The MHAT program provides a wide range of mental health trainings and suicide prevention education tailored to individuals, organizations, and businesses across Herkimer County. We believe that education is key to reducing stigma surrounding mental health and empowering communities to lead healthier, happier lives.

  • Mental Health First Aid Training for adults and youth
  • Specialized training for groups such as Fire/EMS, Corrections, Public Safety, Military, Veterans, and their families
  • Suicide prevention programs like More Than Sad for educators and parents, Talk Saves Lives for workplaces and seniors, and It’s Real for teens and youth
